Dear Members and Friends:
Welcome to our website. With your assistance The Loyal Opposition to the Status Quo, Inc. (LOSQ) will have a major and favorable impact on our community.
MEMBERSHIPS
The LOSQ is a board governed non-profit corporation There are two divisions of memberships, one for persons under 18 years of age and one for individuals 18 years old and older.
The LOSQ is seeking membership applications from a diverse population regardless of their state of residence. Adults 18 and over can join by using the adult application. Those under 18 must fill out our youth application. There is no fee to join. Programs in support of the purpose of the LOSQ are being developed. Information will be given to our members regarding jobs opportunities, scholarships, educational opportunities and internships on a priority basis.
DONATIONS
Please review our budget for 2008. The funds are needed to complete the group’s initial phases. The LOSQ is a non-profit, 501(c) (3) I.R.S. tax exempt corporation. Accordingly, donations to the LOSQ can be deducted as charitable contributions. Contributions of $25.00 or any other amount, greater or lesser, are welcome. Checks or money orders should be made out to “The Loyal Opposition to the Status Quo, Inc. or LOSQ” and forwarded to 4447 Swiss Stone Lane, W. #2B, Ypsilanti, MI 48197.
Presently the LOSQ is licensed to solicit funds only in the State of Michigan. Accordingly, the LOSQ is not soliciting contributions by way of this website from persons residing in any other state.
PROGRAMS
The LOSQ is considering the implementation of the “LOSQ Challenge.” This will be an educational competition and cultural enrichment program for K-12 children of African descent. Additional information about this program and others will be added to the website in the near future.
